What to expect
I’ll ask why you have come and a brief medical history of illnesses, operations, broken bones, medications and what you think I can do for you.
I have you stand for me so I can do a Body Reading to see what compensations are present that are contributing to any symptoms you have.
A session of bodywork is created around this using:
After the bodywork on the table is finished I ask you to stand for me again for you to feel the effect of the session and for me to see what is happening. I often make suggestions of things you can be aware of and things you can do daily to help this good, new feeling continue.
Remember! Essentially, you are a pleasure-seeking organism (you prefer to feel nice things than nasty things) and we will promote new habits that feel nice rather than try to get rid of outmoded and unhelpful habits. It’s called Positive Reinforcement Therapy, it works great with kids and dogs and now it’s our turn.
I have you stand for me so I can do a Body Reading to see what compensations are present that are contributing to any symptoms you have.
A session of bodywork is created around this using:
- Connective Tissue Massage - Slow, firm massage strokes (to help tight muscles relax and lengthen, slack muscles to regain some tone).
- Joint Release - slow rocking of your body and limbs is used to convey this new muscular tone and arrangement to your joints and brain.
- Breath Work - I encourage and help you to breathe into wherever we are working, this helps stored tension to release and really helps build and strengthen your sense of self.

How often?
If this work interests you then come for one session (or give me a call and we can have a chat about how you may be helped) then you’ll see how it feels and if it feels right for you, come for a series of ten sessions, one each week.
Why each week?
The awareness and good feeling this work promotes has a powerful cumulative effect. When sessions are less than weekly the effect is lessened and some of the understandings get lost.
What if I can’t afford to come each week?
Then come for say, four weekly sessions then take some time off and then come for four more when you can again afford it.
